Forget everything you read about this episode under its previous title, "Moebius" or "Mobius", that's all beside the point now that it has another "official" title. In a nutshell, Mulder and Scully are trapped in a "Groundhog Day" homage - they relive the same day and terrifying bank robbery over and over until they get it "right".

From various eyewitness accounts of the filming of this ep here's some insight:

After either losing or accidently ripping up a paycheque, Mulder and Scully head to the Cradock Marine Bank in Washington, DC, where they end up smack dab in the middle of a nasty robbery gone wrong. Darren Burrows plays the psychotic robber, Bernard, who blows up the building with a bomb strapped to his chest. At one point, Mulder is shot in the chest and loses a lot of blood.

It's confirmed that Skinner has a small role in this one.
